Slow Cooker Pizza Dip Recipe

This dip was made for my daughter’s pizza-themed birthday celebration. It became popular right away, and I’ve carried it to many events ever since. Everybody enjoys it

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Hot garlic bread

Directions

  • Cook and shred the meat and sausage in a big skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink. Transfer the meat to a 3-qt. Slow Cooker using a slotted spoon. Add the other ingredients all but the garlic bread and stir.
  • Cook on low, covered, for 2 to 3 hours, or until thoroughly cooked. accompanied by garlic toast.
